Note: A New Beginning
After saving Fangharra:
- Tarkal spent a little over 4 years studying and working with Fangharra, along with Ivory and Blaze.
- Blaze continued to teach Seera, but also helped Fangharra along with Tarkal and Ivory.
- Seera completed her Conjurer/Wizard Training with Aken and Blaze.
- Aken continued to serve Lady Annya and also became Lord Wenglid's Adviser.
- Duracan and Vi will continue to protect their town and the Monolith, thankful Vanzorn failed, but aware others may eventually try to get their hands on that damn thing.
- Dhelleh came back and now lives in Komlen's town where she preaches the Pantheon of Light. Most of the people in town converted/following those values.
- Varinius Kauppila: The strange two headed centipede creature in the Maze turned out to be a young Wolfen Wizard called "Varinius Kauppila" and is one of the new student of Fangharra.
He was tortured and experimented on by Vanzorn many years ago, he was one of the few first 100 creatures Vanzorn tried to transform into something supernatural until he gave up and began searching for other ways. Varinius was transformed into many different things by magic and ended up a giant two headed centipede before Vanzorn killed him and left his body to rot in the mountains. Somehow, Varinius eventually woke up, with no memories and lived as a centipede for the past 30 years or so. Fangharra still haven't found a way to return him to his Wolfen form, but she did fix his memory problem, so he is now a Spell Casting Two Headed Giant Centipede that Casts By Thoughts, and yes, he can cast two spells at once, one from each head.
- Valocek City:
With time, Trolls can now live in Valocek city where more and more Non-Humans are slowly growing to be accepted and a limited slavery policy was established, making any non-human impossible to enslave by any other than a master of their own race. So only an Orc would be allowed to 'own' another Orc as slave. Same for Humans.
- Capital of Arcadia and the Tarldet Plains Territory:
The Lord of Arcadia liked the idea, but finding it impossible to enforce or apply without causing a shit ton of problems, he made a special new Tax to be paid to him by all owners of slaves that aren't of the same race as the owner.
- Fangharra managed to repair her Maze and Keep, but she closed her magic shop in Colfax, using it only as a small house and a way to get to the city fast through her Circle of Travel.
After completing the items she 'owed', she spent time teaching Tarkal, Seera, Blaze and Ivory, along with a few other students, turning her keep in a temporary Wizard's Guild University where Blaze also used to continue teaching Seera, but also where everyone traded spells between them.
- Everyone knew this 'University' was only temporary. Fangharra had been clear about it, she only had a few years, 5 or 6 maximum before she'd have to leave. She never wanted to say where she was going exactly, other than saying it was in another dimension. Blaze convinced her to inscribe their names (Blaze, Seera and Tarkal) in the Anti-Magic rune that protected the Maze as well as other runes around the keep so they could all 'inherit' and take care of the Keep and the Maze, even continue with the University for a while. Fangharra said it was the least she could do since they saved her life by waking her, a feat she thinks would have never happened, especially if Vanzorn had succeeded with the Monolith.
"What would have happened? and What was his plan really?"
Vanzorn was going to use the Monolith to summon just enough Greater Demons to get their hearts and blood before attempting a ritual to transfer the runes from the monolith to his flesh, which would have made him extremely powerful. He would have been able to summon and control a Demon Lord, or multiple Greater Demons at once (something like 1 per level) or many many more Minor Demons (like 4 per level).
And so, after a little over 4 years, Fangharra's time to leave came up. She was waiting for someone's birth, but she never gave more specifications about it. That birth was the trigger and the time for her to leave and so a few days later, she'd leave.
Before leaving, Fangharra received a message from an old flame, an Elf girlfriend called "Fraeya Wolfspeak".
Sadly, Fangharra can't help because she has to leave, but she offers Tarkal a chance to explore a new place in order to help Fraeya.
Of course, Ivory and Seera wants to go with Tarkal.
Fraeya lives near the Capital city Iyancine of the Western Empire. She lives in a remote house a few miles outside the city where she owns a large portion of the forested land, although she pays her taxes to the current ruling family.
