The clone of Mithran was nothing more than some form of mind link offered by a creature they will later learn to be called Absyden. As soon as Mithran touched it, he and everyone linked to him through his telepathy were sent into a mental trip down memory lane. Absyden told Mithran that he owed him his life and showed him through the vision time-lapse in reverse. Absyden also said that he wanted them to bring him Adamantium because he needed it to free himself, after failing twice to do so.
They saw the world moving backwards and as they followed Ned and watched the small area near the water all, they saw a lot of things;
- They saw how Ned got rid of the Adamantium, by dropping it in the river near the waterfal.
- They saw a small Half-Tabaxi 5 years old girl trying to survive hiding in the woods near the waterfall. Her name they learned later is Miyuki and Nanouk decided to take her under his wing, once more, (what's with him and taking young girl under his wing really?) She later explained she had ran away from a man called Zoarkim and his son Karim, both Halfling who were treating her bad and that Karim looked a lot like Mithran. Nanouk also saw her 'consume' an adamantium dagger to transform into a Wolf, so they assumed she may have some form of power related to Absyden. Miyuki had no belonging except her fancy, but now dirty and torn dress, and a small necklace at her neck.
- They saw Satyrs coming to the waterfall to have sacrificial party and ceremonies every single month during the no-moon day.
- They saw a Blue dragon land on the stone near the waterfall, transformed into an incredibly beautiful human female with blue hair and clear blue eyes, electricity crackling through her hair, and sit there for 14 days, meditating. She had a tattoo of a mix of two waves clashing and also looked like wings, on her back. The symbol of the two waves could represent the Goddess Umberlee, Goddess of the sea.
- They saw a group of adventurers coming into the cave to enter the cave under the waterfall, but only one came out and died in the shore.
- They noticed that the area around the waterfall was covered in mucous and was a swamp before EoM, but all the mucous and water level dropped to become a clear and nicer area after EoM
- And finally, they saw how Mithran was born, along side a female Halfling, his sister. Mithran has a birth mark on his left ankle in the sahpe of a peanut, while his sister has a birth mark on her right calf in the shape of a t. They saw Mithran's mother, a Gnoll called Drae Ashbeam, the one they met in the Catacomb of Phandrak and it raised many questions as to how the fuck a Gnoll can give birth to two Halfling, and who the fuck is the father. But they also saw the animals around and nearby, taking care of the babies, bringing them food and water, birds mouth feeding them to keep them alive until a farmer lady would find them. How Mithran ended up in Barranor is unknown, but Absyden had not lied when he said Mithran was alive because of him.
After all the trip down memory lane, Absyden talked with them, but his time was limited due to all the efforts of trying to communicate with them, he tried to do so mentally through some form of epic mental connection, but their mortal non supernatural brain couldn't handle the overflood of information and centuries of lives and memories from all the creatures Absyden may or may not have controled or possessed or lived through. Their brains was overloaded with information, so Absyden had to return to a more limited ways to communicate and informed them that he needed Adamantium and that he now needed to rest for a few days.
Absyden said he was made prisoner by the emperor and needed their help to get free. He said he would grant them power, knowledge, wealth, or anything they'd wat if they helped him break free.
After all that, they confronted Ned who clearly had lost 11 days of memory and they assumed he had been possesses by Absyden this whole time, explaining the Adamantium that had been given to Absyden. They did not tell Ned about Absyden or the Adamantium, but they decided to bring him back to the Guild, where the Officers would judge him for what had happened and had been done: after all, he did ruin the entire guild by taking all their wealth.
After bringing Ned back, they made sure not to mention anything about the Adamantium or Absyden, lying to Chris and Ned.
Ned would later be judged by all the Officers of the Guild, and would later be granted mercy and allowed to remain a member of the guild, but not an officer.
Then, although exhausted, they went back to meet with Daanvy to know what was the second deal he had to offer them.
Daanvy literally offered to sell the entire Maleekym guild to the Red Gates, through them, or too them, although it would work better if the Red Gates was the figure in controle.
They accepted the deal without even talking to Chris, a deal where they'd pay Daanvy 500 gp per month for a total of 3 years.
Later, they told Chris about the deal and discussed on the best way to make it all work. They also learned/confirmed Rakhell was the actual true leader of the guild.
- They also learned that Rakhell had given birth and the baby could be from Constable Meross, one of very few Thiefling she had sex with recently. Her pregnancy had been accelerated by the two strange time-freeze that had happened in the past few days.
- Somehow, the bond Absyden had tried to make with them, the one that hurt their head, caused them to gain memories from different people, different lives, different era even, clashing into their heads, which would cause them in the following two weeks, to have dreams and nightmares, but also to lose and merge their own memories with others until one more intense or stronger memory would somehow, plant roots into their minds, changing them, somehow, reshaping them and even teaching them new techniques, new tricks, and even new magic and powers.
And so, a new Chapter began
