Players: Alex, Steve, Christian, Vincent :: 2022-06-23
After rescuing Mika and getting very little 'thanks' from the Jester, they all went to bed, only to be disturbed early in the morning by Kyzaff. He was angry because someone had attacked Aleth the previous evening, while he was with Nanouk and their family after the reunion and Mika's release.
He claimed Aleth had been attacked by a Bugbear and his description matched that of Broakteeth. They said they had nothing to do with the attack on Aleth, but they offered their help to investigate, so Kyzaff accepted and apparently believed them before asking forgiveness for the disturbance.
They summoned Broakteeth, but it took the entire day before he could be found and they asked him about Aleth and his whereabouts. Broakteeth reluctantly admited he was doing a side job to spy on the Kazimar family, paid by someone he didn't want to mention because he was told not to, but he said he still kept a share for the guild from his pay off. They didn't pry further, but made sure he'd tell them everything afterwards. They believed he had nothing to do with Aleth's attack.
They did not investigate further about Aleth's attack and decided to plan a way to kill Constable Nam.
It took a few days before Nam himself made a public announcement in Barranor, stating that they were no longer 'wanted'
Then, they played it slow and safe, but they took 3 weeks to manipulate Nam, by using some of their magic tricks to make him think/believe Absyden was communicating to him with subtle messages and signs, and they made him go to Thallan Waterfal.
Nam eventually went to the waterfall, alone as they'd hope and they followed him there to kill him.
With a coordinated attack, they brought their wrath upon him and the poor guy didn't stand a chance.
They defeated him, interrogated him a little, but didn't get much valuable answers or intel from him, and then Vumpek lost patience and killed him summarily.
They went back to the Relidgyx and tried to sleep again that night, but they were awoken during the night by a visit from Rakhell.
Rakhell told them Constable Buug was dead, killed by Mhruhgh the Troll-Khavy from the Boiling Sand Stones. She had gone in there because for the past few days, people around the stones started dissapearing and two of the Redz members were missing. She investigated and knew she would find Trolls down there, but she thought she could negociate somehow. She got her ass wooped, but said she managed to catch his attention before he'd kill her, and made a deal with him.
After a negotiation, she learned that he needed to wake all the Khavies and that there was a special written instruction he couldn't access, somewhere in the Khavy domain. Rakhell wanted to go, but he wouldn't let her go alone, fearing she'd run away.
So she offered to send some of her men while he could keep an eye on her, putting her life in guaranty, to make sure the job would be done.
So the group went to the Khavy domain and met Mhruhgh once again. This time, they were escorted inside the buildings, and then to what could only be a vault that had been emptied quite recently.
Mhruhgh opened a passage he could definitely never fit in, where even Thor and Vumpek would have to remove their armor to squeeze into the narrow tunnel.
With very little instruction of what they may find in there, they took their armors off and in they went...
