Summary Game #15:
Players: Vincent, Alex, Steve, Paul :: 2022-03-17
*A long update of the Merged Guilds and what they did during those three months.
Appointment with Tabitha:
Tabitha told them about someone attacking the Emperor twice but they didn't know who it was.
She also presented Vumpek to his daughter Vaanya and told him that if he wanted to care for her, he'd have to give up his current life style and join her at the Kazimar Castle, but he'd probably become a kind of servant, unless he would first find his true origins and lineage to demonstrate his noble blood relation to the emperor or empress. She suggested they might want to all look for their lineage in case it helped them rise within the society.
Drae Ashbeam
Mithran did try to go see his mother Drae in the catacomb, but was denied entry. Mr. Crawley has threatened the Satyr in Fuller to not let them in, as well as Kharn, but he did offer to let him in if he'd find someone possibly capable of opening a sarcophagus. As much as Mithran wanted to kill Mr. Crowley or the other Satyr in Fuller, he thought it wasn't worth possibly putting Constable Bug against the guild.
The far away bride
Seth managed to exit Barranor for the first time in years, now that the guild has access to a tunnel. He went to the docks in Zhang and gathered some information. Travelling by boat has changed a lot since he stopped being a Sailor. Only 4 boats had the license to leave sight of Ghateelock on the water. At both end of the large lake, there were Ghateelock ships preventing any unlicensed boat to leave and also preventing any and all boats from other cities, to enter. The price he was offered by the second in command of one of the only 4 captains that had the license to leave, was 8000 gp to bring back his bride from outside. So he sent a message to her, letting her know he was close to getting her home.
The Guild before all
Seth also spent a lot of his precious time to make sure the new merge of the guilds was going well. He specifically spent time with two of the new cells to ensure their loyalty; The Nasz cell and The Rulki cell.
Jhavy
Nanouk found a secret message in Miyuki's necklace about a Druid called Kipo, possibly being held captive by a man called Jhavy in Kazimar. He gathered that the Druid may have been taking care of some huge trees in Kazimar before the EoM and that Jhavy was just a rich prick who had created a new place in his backyard where people could party at night. Should Jhavy truely be keeping Kipo as a slave and prisoner, it would be against the laws of Kazimar.
Flaugh
Nanouk also spied on Flaugh a little and figured out that three members of the Redz were providing him with information about the guild; Cyrick and Weller (Cell The Rats), and Xorn (Cell The Owls). Nanouk informed their respective officers and told them to deal with these traitors as they saw fit.
Constable Nam
Vumpek investigated and spied on Nam for a while to try and figure out more about his possible connection to Absyden. He is fairly certain that Nam has no idea that Absyden may be living near the Thallan waterfall, and certainly doesn't know about Absyden needing Adamantium, or if he does, the orphan kids, members of his sect, don't know and he isn't trying to gather Adamantium. All in all, a more direct aproach would be required at this point to find out more.
The Relidgyx
After all those three months, now that things are stable and there is no internal war, nor any conflicts with the cells within the guild, it is now time to increase the guild's income and revenue stream. One of the first thing to do, would be to negociate a better deal about this unique tunnel and passage between The Cubster (Nasz Cell) and The Relidgyx in Khalahan. Our team as second in command are to try and talk with Dgyx to establish some form of alliance.
The Nasz Cell is on the brinx of parting from the Guild as Nasz wanted her independence, but Chris promised he'd find a way to increase her profit and fame, so for now, Nasz stays with the Guild.
She is a good source of income and profit, but the fact that they can't use the tunnel on their own and must rely on Dgyx, who only allows some heavy 'mainly pedophile' payers to go through and enjoy the young cubs and exotic creatures of the Cubster, this deal isn't as profitable as it could be.
The Relidgyx is already on Redz territory, under Broakteeth Cell, but Dgyx categorically refuses to deal with the Bugbear or any members of the Redz who isn't either the Leader, or the Second in command. So Dgyx has only been dealing with Nasz and so far, Nasz claims Dgyx won't budge on her deal.
Currently, members of The Redz can't go through that Tunnel to go to Khalahan or come back.
Note: - Prior to the merge, every members of The Maleekym who tried to go through the tunnel was killed and then brought back to The Cubster tunnel door, by one of the Relidgyx guards/mercenary. Some of the Maleekym's bravest were lost this way and as much as Dgyx never warned about possible consequences to 'try', it was decided not to ever try again after over 12 failed attempts.
How it works for now:
Clients can only go through from Khalahan if they make a deposit of 100gp to gain access to the tunnel and visit The Cubster.
- The client is handed Cubster chips [some coins used only by outsider clients] representing an amount of 1000 sp.
- They can pay for all the services they wants at The Cubster, as if it was real sp; drinks, food and all, everything provided at The Cubster.
- When the client returns to The Relidgyx, he hands over the leftover coins. [On average, clients who visits the Cubster will usually spend 200 to 300 Cubster Coins]
Note: Clients who are from Barranor usually spend around 20 to 60 sp on the girls and services at The Cubster. The girls often argue and fight to be assigned an outsider, since they are much more generous than the locals.
- The client is then given back his deposit minus what he spent at The Cubster along with a 25% fee for The Relidgyx. So if a client spent 200sp at The Cubster and returns with 800sp, The Relidgyx will keep 50sp (25% of the 200 that was spent) meaning the client would be handed back 750sp (or 75gp) from his 100gp deposit.
Note: Should a client spend all his 1000sp coins at The Cubster, he wouldn't have to pay that 25% fee. This measure was implemented by Nasz to encourage clients to spend much more, but it doesn't happen very often. Nasz would simply pay a flat fee of 100sp back to Dgyx when that happens, which is very rare.
THE MISSION AND ITS OBJECTIVES:
Make a better deal with Dgyx to achieve and/or gain the following:
1) Free access to the tunnel for The Redz, back and forth, for as low a price as can be, free would be the ultimate goal.
2) The Guild would like to collect an extra 5gp flat fee for any of the clients who goes through the Tunnel.
3) The Guild would like to offer protection instead of the Guards/Mercenaries currently employed at the Relidgyx. Costs and fees to be discussed to make sure both parties gains from it.
Note: This protection should be 'Paid', but it can also (as last resort) be offered as a one package deal if it includes the previous two points. So in exchange for free passage AND for gaining 5gp more per each client using the tunnel, The Redz would offer protection at The Relidgyx instead of them having to pay guards/mercenaries
4) Discuss the possibility of making The Relidgyx, HQ for The Redz (using the small area of Dongon below)
5) Any other benefit the team could think of, discover, or desire to benefit the Guild.
If Dgyx doesn't give anything and refuses all deals, find leverage, find out more about Dgyx, evaluate the possibility of getting rid of her and taking over The Relidgyx. Finding out more about Dgyx, finding leverage is always a good thing, before or after any attempt to negotiate.
Note: Killing Dgyx or Taking over should only be considered if Dgyx refuses to be reasonable.
The team may stay in Khalahan for up to 1 month, and use Broakteeth Cell as they see fit.
If nothing comes out of this within a month, it would be prudent to move to other important matter.
The team then went to Khalahan to begin their mission.
To be continued...
